Our Story
Flora Design Studio, LLC is a professionally trained and certified flower shop located in Mahomet Illinois. We are a proud member of the Illinois State Floral Association. We are dedicated to creating stunning floral arrangements for all occasions.
Flora Design Studio owner, Julie Odum, comes from an extensive art background which lays the groundwork for all their floral designs. Julie's professional path started after receiving her BFA in Fine Art from the University of Illinois. Her artistic training, understanding of color, composition, design and love of flowers led her to the creative process of the floral arts.
Julie is a professionally trained and accredited florist through the Illinois Florist Association, earning her ICPF credentials in 2013. In March of 2025, Julie earned the title of Illinois Designer of the Year and competed in the Mid-America Cup Competition in Arkansas representing the University of Illinois and the Illinois State Florist Association. Julie is the Senior Florist at the prestigious University of Illinois, where she oversees a dynamic high volume floral department serving over 500,000 guests per year. Julie is also co-owner of 2nd Story Social, a wedding and event venue in Rantoul, Illinois.
With a passion for artistry, Julie takes great pride in combining her love of design and flowers to create artful and unique floral pieces that excite the senses and celebrate the people they represent.
